Privacy and data
The short version: if you do not press Accept on the banner, ReviewPond collects nothing about you at all. No analytics scripts load, nothing is written to your browser storage, and no request about your visit leaves your device. There are no ads on this site and we do not sell or share data.
If you do not consent
Nothing runs. Google Analytics and PostHog are not loaded, and our own attribution requests are not sent. The one thing stored is your choice itself (a value of granted or denied under the key rp_consent), so we do not ask again on every page.
If you do consent
Three things start, and only these three:
- Our own attribution. One row when you land (the campaign id if you arrived from one of our links, the traffic source, the page you landed on, the referring site, and your browser's user-agent string), one row per review page you open, and one row when you click through to a product (which product, and which destination). This is how we learn which reviews are worth writing next.
- PostHog. Page views and outbound clicks. Session recording, autocapture, surveys and experiments are all switched off.
- Google Analytics 4. Standard aggregate traffic measurement, with Google Consent Mode set to denied until you accept.
Consent is also what allows us to keep a campaign id and traffic source in your browser storage (rp_cid and rp_source). Before you choose, an arriving campaign id is held in memory for that page load only and is discarded if you decline or leave.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers.
- Run advertising, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking profiles.
- Ask you to create an account, or collect a name, email, address, or payment detail. There is no login on this site.
- Send anything about your visit to the AI providers we use. Those models only ever read public review text from sources such as Steam and the App Store, never anything about you.
Who processes it, and where
- Supabase stores our own attribution rows, in the EU (Frankfurt).
- PostHog (US cloud) processes product analytics.
- Google Analytics (US) processes aggregate traffic.
- Vercel serves the site and, like any web server, processes the request itself (including your IP address) to deliver the page.
Our legal basis for all three analytics uses is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time below.
How long we keep it
Honestly: we do not run an automatic deletion schedule yet, so attribution rows persist until we remove them. We would rather say that plainly than publish a retention promise the system does not enforce. If you want the rows associated with your campaign id or visit deleted, ask and we will delete them.
Your choices
You can withdraw consent here, on this device, at any time. It stops all three collectors and clears the identifiers we stored.
You have not accepted analytics on this device, so nothing is being collected.
You can also ask for a copy of what is associated with you, ask for deletion, or complain to your local data protection authority. Clearing your browser storage for this site removes every value we set.
Money
ReviewPond currently earns no commission from any link on this site. The "Try it" buttons open the product itself with no affiliate tag attached. If that ever changes, the paying links will say so on the page and this section will change with them, in the same release.
Who to contact
ReviewPond is operated by Akwasi Domfeh. For any privacy request, including access or deletion, write to hello@aicheatcode.co.
This page describes what the site actually does. If the behaviour changes, this page changes in the same release. See also how ReviewPond works for how the ratings themselves are produced.
