Is Buckshot Roulette worth it in 2026?
A 95% positive rating from over 122,000 Steam reviews is not an accident, Buckshot Roulette earns it by wrapping a genuinely tense, strategic risk-assessment loop in a strong atmosphere with an uncompressed soundtrack included, all at a price point that multiple reviewers call a near-no-brainer. The catch is that the experience is thin: solo play can be exhausted in under an hour, turns repetitive fast, and luck can end a run in 15 minutes regardless of how well you read the board, which is a real question mark over how much the strategy actually matters versus RNG. Multiplayer is where the game finds its legs, but it is currently undermined by crashes that kill matches mid-turn and a persistent bug where the host never starts with the gun, making that mode genuinely broken in practice rather than a clean fix for the content shortage.
People who want a cheap, high-tension game to play with a friend in short bursts and can live with multiplayer bugs while they last.
Multiplayer crashes and an unresolved host-gun bug make the most replayable mode the least reliable one right now; solo content runs dry in under an hour; and a flashing light added in updates has no toggle, posing a real risk to photosensitive players.

- I could just refund this, because you can experience the vast majority of what this game has to offer in under an hour, but I like to think I'm better than that.
- Kinda repetitive alone. Fun with friends. One of those games you would play every month because you saw it scrolling through your library.
- The game itself takes about 30 minutes at most, I finished it in 20, so keep that mind when buying this. I think it's one of these games you wish would be so much more - more items...
