Is Signalis worth it in 2026?
A 97% positive Steam rating from nearly 33,000 reviews is a statistical outlier, not a trend, and the consistency across praise categories, story, atmosphere, haunting soundtrack, puzzles, and tight resource management, confirms this is a genuinely accomplished game rather than a one-trick mood piece. The 81 Metacritic score is the honest ceiling: controls are clunky in a way that creates real moment-to-moment friction, and weak gameplay execution is a separate problem from that, a design-level issue where the mechanics never fully match the ambition of the artistic vision.
